5 color silkscreen
According to the Chinese New Year, 2011 was the year of the rabbit and 2012 is the year of the dragon. In Chinese art the dragon is often seen chasing a flaming pearl. The pearl is viewed as a symbol of wisdom and enlightenment. My illustration shows a white circular flaming rabbit in place of the pearl with the flaming dragon chasing it. My goal was to symbolize the end of 2011 (the rabbit) and the start of 2012 (the dragon).
