"Medusa" is a limited run of 100 prints, and is a part of the Ritual series. This Medusa is a new take on an old classic. Legend has it that Medusa was originally a ravishingly beautiful maiden, coveted by many suiters and priestess in Athena's temple. Medusa and Poseidon, the "God of the Sea" were caught together. Enraged, Athena transformed Medusa's beautiful hair into serpents and made her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of it would turn onlookers to stone.
This is part of an ongoing series of limited edition silhouettes from the studio of Charmaine Olivia. Each print measures 11" x 14" inches and is printed with archival inks on 100% acid-free stone wash watercolor paper.
Every giclee is signed, numbered, and titled by Charmaine Olivia, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) issued direct from her studio. Each print comes with two stickers, just for fun.
