Our friend is taking HIS pet out for a walk - and this leashed octopus or something recalls to mind Gerard de Nerval, the French writer who ambulated with a lobster because (as we all know) "savent les secrets de la mer." Oh, and Harlow is from Providence, Rhode Island? Interesting. Isn't that where H. P. Lovecraft hailed from? You know, the gentleman who envisioned more than one mystery lurking beneath the placid waves of la mer. This delightful picture is made for the discerning eye.
