This poster is the third poster in a series based on the Game of Thrones books. It features a Crow representing the Night's Watch and an excerpt from the Oath of the Night Watch. It reads, "I am the Sword in the Darkness." A perfect gift for anyone who is a fan of the series or has always wanted a poster with a shattering polygonal crow.
I designed the poster and hand carved the image from 2 linoleum blocks. I printed it in 3 passes on a Vandercook press at SVC's letterpress studio. It was printed with hand mixed yellow and light grey Van Son inks. The type was hand set in 18pt Garamond Italic lead type. This was a run of only 60 prints. Each print comes signed and numbered. The poster is printed on 100% cotton archival quality, acid-free 90lb paper.
The poster measure 21" x 14"
Note, because of the nature of the printing process there is a slight variance in the color and registration of each print.
