3 color silkscreen
This print was commissioned by San Francisco's Spoke Art Gallery for their Quentin vs. Coen show. The actual title of the print is "Margie" after Frances McDormand's character in the film. When I watch Fargo I'm left thinking about the wintery landscape of the Dakota's, the grisly violence throughout the film and the purity of Marge Gunderson's character. I wanted to combine these three elements in the print. The bloodshed is subtly represented with a blend of white snowflakes fading into a deep red hue.
