DVD: White Hills is one of my absolute favorite contemporary bands. Their astral meld of Hawkwind, grungy riffs, and uncharted psych freakouts is the perfect cyclopean eye gazing into the depths of my head. I love that they seem like an ever-changing entity, that their songs are incredibly varied, and they have crafted their own visual aesthetic.
What else could I do but walk into the fungal landscape and let my pen make the decisions!?
The Astral Watcher entity became the center of the landscape. The orbs sitting on the path and the repeating moth pattern are a personal nod to Victor Moscoso, one of my favorite psychedelic poster designers. The figure at the foot of the path is YOU, about to walk the path of the White Hills.
