We know what you're thinking....I've never seen or even heard of this film! Well, no one has really. It is one of the last really cool undiscovered cult comedy classics just waiting to find an audience. We were thrilled to have a chance to run this one, and in keeping with its "Warhol factory", low budget, DIY spirit we had Ron Liberti create a small, split fountain 12.5" x 19" hand pulled poster.
Not only is this style in keeping with the film, this poster actually is a good representation of what silk screen posters largely looked like when this film was made. There were a total of 50 prints made, each hand signed and numbered by the artist. And like snowflakes, no two are alike due to the very nature of their hand printed design. There are several different variations of the color scheme of the face and the eyes in this run. (BTW, the face and eyes featured on this poster are those of Academy Award nominated actress Jill Clayburgh- this was her first film!)
On a side note, this is also one of the few screen print posters in existence for a film that was officially rated "X" upon its original release. And Ron made sure to include that in the lower left hand corner of the image as well.
