"Fear Bush" is a one-of-a-kind, hand-sprayed Shepard Fairey stencil collage on album covers that is also a fantastic example of one of the key concepts in Shepard's work: politically charged propaganda imagery. Here are the facts:

-Created in 2002, "Fear Bush" is the source image for the popular "Bush/Gore" and "Anti-Bush" screenprints of 2004.
-The stencil collage is on 6 album covers, and measures 24" x 36" (and 29" x 41" framed).
-This is the largest known stencil collage on album covers. There are hand-sprayed single album covers, and stencil collages on 4 album covers...but this is the only known album cover piece on more than 4 album covers.

There are no other fine art versions of this image, and this piece is not part of an edition. This gorgeous stencil collage is a truly one-of-a-kind piece of Obey Giant/Shepard Fairey history.
It can be hard to see in the pictures, but the word, "Obey" is stenciled in hi-gloss paint in the upper left-hand corner, resulting in a cool "black on black" logo. This subtle touch does not show up all that well in pictures, but it is one of the more striking details in the piece when viewed in person.
