In spring, 2001 artist Jeff Koons created a large mural for the wall of a high-end men’s clothing designer on 5th Avenue in New York City.
The mural was unveiled in April, 2001, and displayed for three months.
On June 26, 2001, the mural was divided into 500 segments and sold for $500 each to benefit The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Each piece was drawn on, dated, and signed by Koons himself. Each is unique. Every background is different.
