My poster is an homage ¨C not only to the films of Wes Anderson ¨C but an homage also to Alphonse Mucha and his ¡°Medea¡± poster. I've run with the idea that Margot Tenenbaum is a playwright and here she has cast herself in the role of Medea, the tragic protagonist from Euripide's play, as portrayed in Mucha's poster.
It's twelve colors, six colors on each of the two pieces. It is printed as a diptych ¨C top and bottom ¨C much like Alphonse Mucha printed his two piece posters in the early 1900. Both pieces of "Margot" fit together to create a 22" x 62" diptych.
Each piece will be approx 22 x 31 ¨C there's printed overlap on the bottom part and a full bleed cut on the top part ¨C so they fit together.
12 colors on archival cream paper
Signed and Numbered (Both top ¨C on the back - and bottom ¨C on the front)
