Created in 1989
Originally printed as a dark line blue print at full size, later printed as a digital bond.
Sold at music festivals throughout the country from 1990 till present. Exhibited at 100's of Dead shows, toured Lallapalooza, Oz, Phish, Woodstock 99' 04', The biggest fests in Europe, 100's of colleges.
Inspired by the Exxon Valdez oil spill. The original took 6 months of inking night and day under the influence of sleep deprivation and an overdose of CNN. Denial was intended to be the first in a 5 part series of the stages of grief.
The image is of a woman with the earth on her body yelling help in different languages with an industrial man over her shoulder with TVs for eyes cutting the flags of the earth out of her with a chainsaw and feeling her up with a logging truck.
Fear, inspired by the BP spill, is in the works.
