This is our modern take on the 1938 propaganda-heavy, exploitation film on the evils of the roadside weeds known as REEFER! #16 in the Red Vic poster series, celebrating the 30th anniversary of one of the last original movie houses in California.
The poster's evocative imagery shows exactly what happens when young girls are exposed to the evils of marijuana, known in some circles as "satan's lawn clippings." Marihuana is sometimes referred to as "The Weed" or "Smokable flowers of pure self loathing and regret" and according to this poster artist, it is one plant not to be trifled with.
