From our August 2010 exhibition A Walking Tour of Here. Santora is inspired by the processes in which something is created from the ground up—be it a physical structure, a piece of art, or an entire subculture. His imagery is a reminder of the nostalgia of childhood that lingers on into our adult lives. Stark landscapes and muted color pallets give a sense of innocence lost, the weaving memories that shape our lives, and the longing of someone who is outside looking in.
