A large-scale multimedia campaign for peace by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. On December 16, 1969, huge signboards written "WAR IS OVER! IF YOU WANT IT Happy Christmas from John & Yoko" were put up in London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Athens, Montreal, Toronto, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Port-of-Spain in Trinidad. Posters, handbills, and postcards of the same design were created and it was also advertised in newspapers and on radio.
