f'n engines, how do they work?
"it's a diagram of how i believe a four cylinder internal combustion engine works. this was for a group show which is currently hanging at lula cafe in chicago's logan square neighborhood. curated by anders nilsen, the 'assignment' was to take an object we're all familiar with, but few people truly understand, and without consulting books or the internet, diagram how this thing works. the subject was the automobile engine, of which i (for better or for worse) have gained a reasonably good understanding, through replacing alternators on the side of the highway in pennsylvania, or replacing radiator hoses on the streets of austin texas at 3 am. my time touring with dianogah has not been a total loss!"
