"The artwork attached is an amazing example of this artists work - whos name unfortunately I cannot reveal. Therefore, I would ask you to come to your own conclusion as to who you think is responsible.
The artwork was removed from a wall in Paddington, London 2006 and was previously illustrated in a book called, 'Wall and Piece'. Prior to acquiring the artwork, I researched all the relevant press articles relating to it's removal and both the Police & Westminster Council concluded no wrong doing of any consequences had taken place.
After I purchased the artwork, an organisation called Pest Control was set-up to authenticate all works created by the artist. On registering and applying for authentication it became apparent street pieces would not be granted provenance even if you could prove the artwork as 101% genuine. This is because the artist may become liable for prosecution. Pest Control's response to my request for provenance read, 'we cannot be sure if the work is by the artist but, any works created not to sell are not classified as works of art'."
