The American-Rebild Park was a gift to the Danish Monarchy by a Danish-American entrepeneur in 1912 on the condition that the park's 200 acres remain accessible by the public, the property remain in a natural state and that Danish-Americans could celebrate American holidays in the park. It is the location of the largest known 4th Of July celebration outside the U.S.
