"This painting is by the premier pirate painter Don Maitz and was created for the 2000 San Diego Comic Con charity auction and featuring a lone pirate with cutlass gazing over the sea.
Don Maitz is famous for his images of swashbuckling pirates and is perhaps most widely-known for his creation of the "Captain" character of the Captain Morgan rum advertisements.
This painting is oil paint and linseed oil on canvas over wood frame measuring 24"x18"x1". There is very slight wear on the edge of the 2 top corners that is not more than 1/16 of an inch wide."
