"My friend Adam Werbach, who went to Brown University in Providence and became familiar with my work while living there, became the president of the Sierra Club, an environmental organization founded by the naturalist John Muir. Adam asked me to design several things for the sierra club, as well as the cover of his book and the logo for his current company, Act Now (also the title of the book). I'm into doing pro bono or cheap work for environmental causes, not because I;m a hippie tree hugger, but because I think it's common sense that if we overpopulate the planet and use up all our resources we're essentially bringing our own demise more quicckly. It's logical self preservation and I hope people realize that."
