Since the turn of the new millenium, so-called "street art" has been enjoying a real boom. Everybody knows who Banksy, FAILE, and Shep are. Choe rocks it, while Nick Walker and Dolk work the stencils. But let's not forget about the first wave of graff in galleries and museums; the charge led by a true original of mixed blood - Jean Michel-Basquiat. I wanted to honor the man. It's been about thirty years since I could afford an original JMB, but that's ok, the picture books are good too.
