(Mike Giant Cover)
Issue 19 is filled with a medley of stories from the past, present and future. From the past, we look at some of early punk and hardcore's iconic imagery, marvel at Howard Gribble's vintage photos of gang graffiti, and go behind the scenes at the Museum of Jurassic Technology. "Seeing the Beauty in the Beast" captures the current furry scene, and "Apachelypse Now" documents a growing movement on the San Carlos Indian Reservation. To tie all of these stories together, we reached out to artist Mike Giant to illustrate the entire issue. Mike's work, in all its stark black-and-white glory, also graces our cover and back cover. Lastly, we introduce a new feature: Hot Knives' recipe column. We can't wait to see what they cook up for us in '09. See you then.
