185 in edition + 25 Artists' proofs + 10 Printers' proofs were made, all were pencil-signed and hand-numbered by Crumb. Edition size and details are noted on COA's from Wildwood Serigraph. The COA's are signed by Jesse Crumb and Alexander Wood.When R. Crumb signed the edition in France, he numbered 185 prints "1/185" through "185/185", and numbered A/P's "1/10" through "10/10" and P/P's "1/5" through "5/5". At that time, 20 remaining prints were divided into 15 numbered A/P's, "11/25" through "25/25", and 5 numbered P/P's, "6/10" through "10/10". So, to clarify, legitimate A/P's exist which are numbered "1/10" through "10/10" and "11/25" through "25/25". Likewise, legitimate P/P's are numbered "1/5" through "5/5" and "6/10" through "10/10"."A Short History Of America"
