"....for Charlotte, is a follow-up to last year’s Cleveland poster. This time it’s an homage to the drums and the thunderous beat. I wanted to keep the vibe similar to last year’s Cleveland poster, so it’s a “drummer†character that lives in the same magical musical world as the “guitarist†character from last year. So it’s a character that the fans can see as themselves, living in the world of 311 music. Eventually the drumming becomes so thunderous, and the heartbeats get so out of control, all the drums and guitars and crates of records start being tossed up into the air from the absolute quake!
I used fluorescent/black light inks on this one – dude, it’s INSANE!! The jpeg can’t really show fluorescent colors, so I did my best to mock it up, but man, when you see these in person.... So stoked with them.
And the foils are on a really awesome “Kaleidoscope†holofoil. I wanted to make it a little extra special instead of just regular foil. It looks amazing. Also with Black Light ink." - James Flames
