1958 film poster for Alfred Hithcock's psychological thriller, Vertigo. Design by Saul Bass. Bass was best known for his artistic contribution to Vertigo as well as for title sequences for North by Northwest (1959), Psycho (1960), and Martin Scorsese's Casino (1995)

The original concept art specification describes the piece as a screen print. Photographic elements and hand-cut lettering were then added. The distributed film poster was an offset lithograph. As was typical for that era, a number of poster sizes and variations were available. The poster is highly sought after by collectors with prices ranging in the $6000 - $10,000 range at auction.

Featured here, the U.S One-sheet, 41 inches tall by 27 inches wide.

In 1996 the film was re-released, the Bass artwork was used again for a double-sided glossy one-sheet poster.
