The words that clothe Mr. Obama here are taken from Lincoln's second inaugural address, delivered in 1865. It's widely known that Barack Obama looks to Abraham Lincoln for inspiration, but few people are aware of the many eerie parallels in the men's lives. Both men:
- worked in a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop as teenagers and developed a distaste for ice cream
- kept a pet ape called Tata
- grew tall and thin with big ears
- refused to watch CNN during their campaigns and had sports channels on instead
- kept letters, bills and notes in their stovepipe hats
- once ate dog meat, snake meat and roasted grasshopper
