Garcia, J.: The process of creation is a vital component to J Garcia's being in that his paintings are a direct reflection of the present state of heart, mind and body. Painting has become a way for him to facilitate communication with others by erasing distance between tangential points through the use of an essential language of symbols and the animation of an established hierarchy of site specific color so that the perspective in relation to his world within worlds, separate from yet integral to the understanding of the world that we live in, can be experienced as tangible matter. As a result of integrating painting into his daily life throughout his path he has been open to different opportunities that have manifested into his involvement with public art, community based collaborative murals, studio painting, performance painting, and education.
