Image Submittal Guidelines
Please follow these guidelines when submitting images to the ExpressoBeans database. Image and new art submissions that don't follow the guidelines below may be rejected, and are likely to take longer to be approved as they will require extra time of the volunteer team.
- Images should be .jpg or .gif file format.
- Images should be rotated to the proper viewing angle (there are dozens of free photo-editing programs available on the internet).
- Images should be tightly cropped to the nearest edge or corner of the art on each side (there are dozens of free photo-editing programs available on the internet).

- Ideally, images of actual pieces of art should be well-lit and have a uniform background that is neutral in color/pattern.
- Example of Preferred Backgrounds

- Images should be reduced to a maximum 800 pixels wide x 800 pixels high (after cropping).
- Camera phone images are accepted on EB, but there is a clear difference in photo quality. Please keep this in mind.
- Do not submit thumbnail or tiny images - they will be rejected.
- Do not submit out-of-focus images - they will be rejected.
- Images should not have large paperweights on the corners of the art - this includes books, cds, dvds, video games, hands, feet, etc.
- Try to avoid the "keystone effect" by photographing art from directly overhead.
