In light of the recent violence we are seeing in our world, we have teamed up with Giorgiko and are offering a special 12 x 12 inch (30 x 30 cm) timed edition print of “Jay” from their sold out solo exhibition 'What is and what is not' to support KidPower in teaching kids and adults the skills to prevent and stop bullying, harassment and violence through creating a culture of care and respect. Full details on their organization are below.

100% of the profits will be donated to KidPower.

The duo’s painting “Jay” depicts two characters, Wonder and Jay, as they look out at the scene before them. Jay can see what Wonder cannot and is troubled. In empathy and compassion, Wonder stands by his side. They stand together as two different people sharing pain, joy, and a journey.

Darren and Trish of Giorgiko are reminded of the story of “The Good Samaritan” that Jesus tells when asked, “Who is the neighbor we should be loving?” Jesus tells the story of someone who is robbed, beaten, and left for dead. Two people of the same culture and creed pass by without doing anything. But someone of a different culture and creed stops to help. This “Good Samaritan” tends to the beaten person’s wounds and also provides for his recovery. Jesus challenges listeners to see that the “neighbor” we are to love is not just the one who looks like us, or believes like us, but rather the one who is in need.

In a time where we are surrounded by such incredible diversity, we must love our neighbor. Our survival as a people is dependent on love.

The artists selected to donate to KidPower, because they really love their positive message and investment into the future of our society (kids) by teaching them to love one another.

The “Jay” edition will be available for 72 hours on the Thinkspace Webshop (link below) from this Friday, April 2 at 9am until Monday, April 5 at 9am Pacific Time (California time).
