I have been on a watercolor kick since getting my new set. Among the many things that I have painted I did a small series of mushrooms.

I am doing a series of watercolor paintings in honor of Katsuhiro Otomo's legendary manga & movie cult classic, Akira. The paintings in this series will depict the main characters and their interaction with Tetsuo during his final transforms. The moments are all quick snippets so brief on the screen that you're almost not entirely sure of what you saw. These paintings help freeze some beautiful cells from this Japanese Masterpiece.

- "GraffiTV" - Limited Edition Print
"GraffiTV" (pictured below) is a play on the very first image that I chose to screen print (Pictured left). I remember the trials and tribulations of teaching myself how to screen print and putting this television set image on ANY surface I could (see TV Gallery) mid way down. Although this is not a screen print, it is the first of a series of different of televisions that will be part of a series of prints that will include different variations of this general image of a basic old school tube tv set.

All 3 inks are florescent, so, this poster will look best under a blacklight.
The poster looks awesome as is, but, under the blacklight you will see this poster transform. It would appear as if the ink becomes florescent lights! The colors will POP! right off of the paper.

- Colored Mystress: Art Series
On the 15th of September, 2012
I will be releasing the 2nd part of the "Colored Mystress" Series.
Colored Mystress 2
This piece is mixed media,
fixed to a board, shellac'd on wood,
adhered to a thick mirror, and then mounted
into a silk screen frame.
The frame was once a silk screen,
until it caught a snag and tore. I then finished clearing away
the nylon screen and used the aluminum frame.
Ready to hang.
Colored Mystress 1
Also, a mixed media piece,
the only difference (besides colors) is that
this first piece is adhered to glass, then mounted in a black frame.
The OD of the entire piece is also a touch different.
Ready to hang.

- GERSON INSTITUTE FUNDRAISER DONATION
Last April we held an Art Show Fundraiser for the non-profit Gerson Institute. If you are unfamiliar with the Gerson Therapy, it is an alternative dietary therapy formulated in the early 1900's by Max Gerson, MD. This very successful drug-free method of healing the body is administered by consuming fresh organic vegetables with a few guidelines and a body cleansing.

Through the sales of the art & entry fees for the game tournament we were able to raise $215 for the Institute!! We also brought some good attention to the alternate options for healing the body and promoting a healthy diet over drugs.
