"while printing the "september" print, we used bright pink paper to test registration and such.
why? we have no idea. because there was pink paper around. started with about 30, but only about 10 survived the whole printing process, the rest were junked. because people like weird things, i got alot of requests for these. they are NOT numbered, they are NOT an edition. they are test prints. they are what they are." -dd'september' is a fifteen color silkscreen of a painting daniel danger did for his solo gallery show at wootini gallery in NC earlier this year. printed at diesel fuel by ben miller and daniel danger in early september ( read the process and see more photos here : http://www.tinymediaempire.com/september/ ). strict one time edition signed and numbered of 100 with only 60 available.
"the imagery is a reference to an oooold song of mine. its on the box set LP, so you can listen to it at some later point. it refers to waking up in the middle of the night and hearing a tv on in the distance, or seeing the light from the screen in the other room coming down the hall and thinking someone is there, but who isnt there and hasnt been there for some time. but maybe they are, just not where youd expect, and wanting to be there too. i wanted the top and bottom to be related, both thematically and visually as a matched pair, in this case, as an inverse. the top should act as a keystone to the lit but empty room. its a connection between two things" -dd
