"The artwork portrays destructive fishing practices (overfishing), and how it affects the ocean and everything that inhabits it. I painted the humpback whale as the main character because I wanted to represent how it is vanishing, like everything around it. There is only one trail, a shadow of what it was. The concept aims to touch upon not only overfishing but above all, how we interact with the environment; disrespectfully and abusively.
