The second of my two pieces for Gallery 1988’s Old School Video Game Art Show: Level 2, opening Friday, October 26th 7-10pm at G1988 Venice at 214 Pier Avenue, Santa Monica, CA.
This piece is basically a rip-off of a rip-off. Remember the old Contra game cover that was clearly Arnold and Stallone redrawn as the Contra guys? I wanted to do a spoof on that, but with everyone’s favorite Italian plumbers! These guys also make an appearance in my other piece for this show, so the two prints kind of go together.
