George Lucas originally intended to title his third Star Wars movie “Return of the Jedi.” Being advised the title was “too weak” he changed it to “Revenge of the Jedi.” Drew Struzan designed the “Revenge” poster.
In December 1982 Lucas decided that “Revenge” was not appropriate for a Jedi and returned to his original title. However, by that time thousands of Revenge posters had been printed and hundreds had been distributed to theaters. Lucasfilm stopped the shipping of the posters and destroyed all but a small number of posters.

Looking exactly like the original artwork that hasn’t seen the light of day in almost 30 years, this limited edition Giclee print of the Revenge art is rare, real and available, although limited to Artist Proofs from drew’s archives. The regular edition is long sold out.

Fine Art Giclee Print on heavy weight archival paper. Artist Proof hand signed and numbered by drew.
